Ryan and Melissa’s summer wedding in the Okanagan
Have you ever attended an outdoor wedding in the Okanagan in the middle of a heat wave? Well I have, a few of them in fact, and while I always find myself very aware of how sweaty I probably look, Ryan and Melissa somehow pulled off looking totally flawless in 40 degree heat in blazing sun. They even managed to snuggle up for some smooches, sending all of us that attended their wedding at Spirit Ridge Resort in Osoyoos, BC searching for the ice buckets to cool them off a little 😉
If you’ve never been to Spirit Ridge Resort, let me tell you, you’re missing out. The resort itself overlooks the first Indigenous owned vineyard in North America, Nk’Mip Cellars, and offers views of the surrounding hills and lake while the hot sun warms the sage brush, surrounding you with all of the delicious scents and warmth of the desert.
And besides all of that, the roof-top patio is a perfect location for a ceremony with views, even on a very hot day, and the food, the staff, and the accommodations were all top-notch. If you’re trying to find that venue that has all of the high-end options with a casual vibe and lots of things for your guests to do, this is the place for your Okanagan wedding!
