Jody and Lee
So, this China Beach engagement session gets just a little bit more love than usual because these babes just so happen to be some of my oldest friends and some of the dearest people you’ll ever meet.
Jody and I first met in first grade in small-town Alberta. Together we navigated the awkward pre-teen moments, the experimental teen years, and later in life we managed heart breaks and new adventures together. We lost touch, got back in touch, drifted apart as we both grew, and then one day I noticed that she was engaged… to our mutual friend Lee from junior high, no less!
Working their way through the seasons of life Jody and Lee reconnected in their 30’s and very quickly found themselves deeply, wildly, and thoroughly in love. And, I mean, when you’re near them you can FEEL it. It is truly a thing of beauty.
Jody, now the proud owner of her own massage and acupuncture business on Vancouver Island and Lee, an incredible tattoo artist based in Victoria have now created the warmest little life together. To honour their love we braved some insanely foggy weather for their engagement photos at China Beach, which is a hidden gem on Vancouver Island and highly worth the short hike to get there.
Thank you Jody and Lee for bringing me into your warmth. I love you both so much and I’m so excited for your wedding next year!!
