Baby Oscar and his beautiful blue eyes

And who doesn’t need to gaze into some beautiful baby eyes right now, right? It’s a crazy time in the world right now, but one thing that will never change is how much joy I get from looking at cute baby toes and parents fawning over their little ones during in-home family sessions.

This family came to me through one of my favourite couples (shout out to you Andy and Mae). We scheduled, had to reschedule, and reschedule again. Right when I was starting to think that we may not get to hang out we ended up with an absolutely perfect day in Delta for in-home family photos. The light poured into their cute house and Oscar was completely obsessed with the camera. Never have I seen a 6 month old be so fixated and aware of me while I took their photos, I actually had to try to get him to pay more attention to his parents!

As you all know by now from my previous lifestyle family sessions I am in LOVE with capturing families in their own surroundings. Everyone involved is so much more relaxed, the kids are happier, and I usually get a free snack or two (joking, not joking).

Even though things are so uncertain for so many people right now I am SO thankful to still have my art, and to know that what I do can help my clients and their families cherish a snapshot in time when we were all healthy, carefree, and able to hug each other. Give kisses to everyone in your household and enjoy those video chats until we can get back to it.
