Andrew and Katie’s Toronto Wedding

There is nothing quite like having the honour of witnessing the union between two people. But, when that union is between two loving, hilarious, and generous people that are as much my family as they are my friends, well, that honour becomes exponentially greater.

Andrew and Katie tied the knot in Toronto at this amazing venue called De La Salle College Heritage House. It’s this gorgeous old castle-type building on the grounds of a Catholic private school, and the property offers the most incredible backdrop for an intimate wedding. PLUS… they can cram dozens of overnight guests into the residences so it’s almost like a destination wedding IN Toronto!

Now, in each wedding that I photograph there is something special, something that captures me. It might be the details, the florals, the brides dress, how friendly the favourite uncle is…you get the idea. And what struck me about this wedding was the laughter, and looking back through these images I’m reminded of how fun this day was from start to finish. Everybody, and I mean everybody laughed ALL. DAY. LONG. and my heart was so full of love that day that I could hardly keep it together. Correction: I didn’t keep it together, I sobbed, because I just love these guys, and their families, THAT much.

Anyways, enough of my babble. Just….enjoy. I love you, Andrew, Katie, and all you special people that welcomed me into your hearts that day. This one will be with me forever.
